Oregon: Urge the House to Protect the Cigar Tax Cap

23 Jun Oregon: Urge the House to Protect the Cigar Tax Cap

Senate Bill 925-A4 would eliminate Oregon’s $.50 cigar tax cap, causing all cigars to be taxed at 65% of the wholesale price. An increased tax burden would be devastating to retail tobacconists across the state. This measure passed the Senate and has moved to the House Committee on Revenue for further consideration. It is critical that we kill this bill in the House of Representatives.
