12 Mar Oklahoma: Urge the House to Vote No on House Bill 2288

Oklahoma House Bill 2288 jeopardizes small business cigar bars and retail shops in Oklahoma. H.B. 2288 will be up for a floor vote in the Oklahoma House of Representatives this week. CLICK HERE to send an email to the members of the House of Representatives requesting their opposition to H.B. 2288.

The provisions of the bill would:

  • Ban smoking in private clubs throughout the state, including golf courses.
  • Raise the threshold to be defined as a “cigar bar” to 35% of retail sales, an unattainable number for many existing cigar bars.
  • Ban new tobacco related businesses started after November 1, 2019.
  • Prohibit existing locations from moving locations or expanding operations.

Please forward this email to your employees and customers, encouraging them to speak up in opposition to H.B. 2288.
